Where I've Been
Not a list. A working knowledge.
I don't recommend places I haven't been. This is why my clients get advice instead of a brochure.

- 01
Europe
My deepest region and the reason I hold the European Destination Specialist designation. I know which cities reward a slow week and which are better as two sharp days, and I know the difference between a hotel with a good address and a hotel with a good room.
- 02
Africa
Safari is the trip people most often get wrong on their own. Camp selection, the season, the length of each stay, how you move between them. Those decisions make or break it. I've been, I've made those calls, and I've seen what happens when they're made badly.
- 03
Asia
Distance and complexity make Asia the region where good planning is most visible. Pacing, guides who actually speak to your interests, and knowing when to slow down instead of adding one more stop.
- 04
North America
Close to home does not mean simple. Hawaii is the clearest example: the right island, the right side of that island, and the right room make the difference between a good week and one people talk about for years.
- 05
Central America
Costa Rica taught me that the right guide, the right lodge and the right pace turn a nature trip into a real encounter. Sailing through the Panama Canal reminded me that some places are as much about engineering and atmosphere as they are about scenery.
- 06
South America
Big geography, real logistics. Getting the internal flights, altitude and timing right is most of the work, and it's the part that determines whether you enjoy the place or endure it.
- 07
Antarctica
The one people assume is out of reach. It isn't, but the ship you choose is everything: expedition team, cabin, crossing, landing ratios. There is no do-over on this trip, and I've made it myself.
